Chris is a professional golfer and Icon in the industry. He has worked so hard to impact the lives of others on and off the golf courses and through the communities around the country. Chris was featured on the front cover of African American Golfer's Digest Magazine. Chris has shared the stage with some of the biggest names and legendary figures, including his late Mentor Hall of Famer Charlie Sifford, Champions Tour Player Jim Thorpe, with whom he co-starred on the Golf Show "Coming to Brooklyn, New York" during the 2013-season. He can be seen on a near-daily basis on Chris Arceneaux TV,’’ “Chris’ achievements led to him being named one of the recipients of the Rosa Parks Award.
Chris, who works at Nassau Community College, is one of the top Professional Golf Teachers. Chris attended College at Southern University and USL. In addition to his work as a speaker, he is written about all around the country. As he is set to kick-off a published book about himself, his first book, is setup to be released this summer 2016. The Inspiring Life Journey of Chris Arceneaux will be published in 2016. Chris is the Founder and President of The Darby Foundation., which stands for Knowledge, Inspiration and Nature. Chris has hosted events for Macy's and is a Brand Ambassador and Spokesperson for Mercedes-Benz. As a professional athlete, health and sports coach at Nassau Community College, he has worked with programs for minority teenagers. Chris is a frequent speaker at churches, colleges, high schools, charitable fundraisers and youth-related events. One of his oratorical gifts is his versatility, as he has addressed congregations as varied as Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Charismatic, Catholic and Congregational. He has also taught seminars and home-buying workshops for first time buyers.
For Chris’s work with the Community of Abbeville, Louisiana, Mayor Mark Piazza issued a public proclamation declaring August 13, 2013 “Chris Arceneaux Day.’’ In 2013, Hempstead, New York, Country Executive Kate Murray honored him with the Rosa Parks Award. Chris is an avid reader of history. His knowledge of Black history, his experiences growing up in multicultural environments and his enthusiasm and respect for hip-hop culture gives him a unique ability to connect with listeners of all ages and races. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, Arceneaux now lives with his family in New York.
